This is an original limited edition screen print onto textured Bockingford paper. The texture gives some of the ink layers the feeling of watercolour, and in particular makes the sand looks less flat than screen print often can. Fiona is a master printmaker who likes to use little tricks like this in her printmaking practice.

Each layer of this Jack Russel terrier art print has been drawn or painted by hand onto drafting film in a completely analogue process. The computer has only been used to print out the reference photograph.

Fiona Hamilton is an artist and printmaker based in Bristol. Interested in process she uses a combination of mediums, both traditional and contemporary, to produce unique imagery, often as one off pieces or in very small runs. Fiona has a degree in Graphic Fine Art from Canterbury, Kent and MA in printmaking from UWE, Bristol.
