Pirrip Press's 2025 calendar theme is Evergreen! They have illustrated each month with something related to that theme, from a still life of gardening books to greenfinches, nasturtiums, a kelp forest and cats on a green morris minor! George has used a Pochoir technique to make her originals (using sponges and stencils to get lots of texture and tone) and Alex has done hers with pen & computer, then they have screen printed them in green and blue on different coloured card in a limited edition of 100. If you're thrifty and keen you can cut the pages in half once the month's done and the top part becomes a nice postcard. They hope you like the illustrations as much as they enjoyed doing them and thinking about all the greens! Happy 2025!

Pirrip Press are Alex Higlett and Georgina Hounsome. They are a two-woman illustration, design and print duo, specialising in Silkscreen printing.

Alex and Georgina design and make their own products (greetings cards, books, artwork, and other printed ephemera) in Bristol, working at their home studio and printing at Spike Print Studio. They screenprint as ethically as they can using recycled card and paper, Earth Positive clothing blanks and water based inks, along with re-using leftovers, using biodegradable packaging where possible and being naturally opposed to waste!

They like to tell stories, and know that things have more authenticity if there’s research and thought behind them so there’s invariably a narrative woven into what they produce. And they love to be outdoors, so the natural world is their biggest source of inspiration.
