Penguin screen printed greeting card for Christmas. This card has a colour blend (also called a split fountain) going from the orange beak of the penguin to its yellow chest and into white. There will be slight variations between the card due to the fairly random nature of a blend, especially one this small. This card has been printed on metallic gold card so it shimmers in the light.

Each layer of this print has been drawn or painted by hand in a completely analogue process. The computer has only been used to view the reference photograph!

Fiona Hamilton is a printmaker based in Bristol. Interested in process she uses a combination of mediums, both traditional and contemporary, to produce unique imagery, often as one off pieces or in very small runs. Fiona has a degree in Graphic Fine Art from Canterbury, Kent. She is currently working in cyanotype and silkscreen.
