"Much of the subject matter for my work is taken from the everyday
world. They are often pieces that have a heavy leaning towards 'Englishness'
or kitsch. I want familiar objects and activities to be elevated to a
fine art context, re-interpreting their qualities in such
a way that the viewer is forced to re-examine their value and worth, their
visual significance and the unconscious absorption into the human psyche."
