After graduating with an illustration degree from Brighton University in 1998 Lucy spent two years assisting collage artist Graham Rawle working on many projects primarily a large scale installation for Expo 2000 in Hanover. She has been working as a freelance illustrator since 2001.

In 2000 she co-founded London illustration collective Peepshow with six fellow graduates from Brighton with whom she now shares a studio. As a member of Peepshow she has exhibited at Dreambags Jaguarshoes in Shoreditch, St Lukes, M and C Saatchi and Ogilvy. She was also part of the British council exhibition of contemporary illustration 'Picture This' which toured the world and most recently created a mural for Howies Skatewear in Selfridges with Luke Best.

Lucy screen prints through paper cut stencils to create simple, colourful images influenced by crude printing techniques often used in cheap packaging. Her work has been used extensively for editorial briefs for clients such as GQ, Time Out, The Guardian and currently illustrates weekly for The Saturday Independent and The Saturday Telegraph.
